A beautiful baby boy who we knew as “Baby Unknown” was the first child in the safe house long before it was renovated.

When we saw him we were all scared to hold him because he looked so fragile!  His mother had dumped him in an open field in the hot sun. Luckily a group of teenagers saw her walk into the bushes with him and came out empty handed – they reported it to the police.

His bond with the house mother was so strong that when she left to return to teaching, he went with her.  To him she is the only mother he has and who has been there for him.

His biological mother was arrested and sentenced to five years imprisonment, but was granted parole after serving three.  Stories like these, where children in crisis become part of a loving family and grows up in a safe environment, warms our hearts as advocates for happy and safe children.
