We are looking for a Social Auxiliary Worker for our Cluster Foster Care team to join our dynamic group of change agents.
The ideal candidate must meet the following basic requirements:
- A qualified social auxiliary worker, registered with the SACSSP
- Relevant work experience and a passion for working with children and organising group activities/ programmes
- Knowledge of the Children’s Act and regulations (Act no. 38 of 2005)
- Possess a valid driver’s license
- Proficient in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape (Afrikaans, English and Xhosa)
- Must be willing to work after-hours when required and at least one Saturday per month to assist with programmes
- Perform well under pressure
- Detail-oriented and deadline-driven
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Maintain a friendly demeanor and positive attitude towards work and clients at all times
- Demonstrate a proactive approach to identifying needs
- A team player and someone who can work independently
