We ended the June school holiday on a truly heartwarming note with a fun-filled Family Day at our office on Friday, 25 July, as part of our Cluster Foster Care Holiday Programme. It was a day filled with laughter, connection, and simple joys – a day that reminded us of the profound power of family.
What made this event so special was that both the foster parents and biological parents of our cluster foster care children joined us. For the children, it was a rare and treasured opportunity to spend quality time with their biological families – a chance to reconnect, laugh, and simply be together.
Often, it’s not the grand gestures that matter most to our children – it’s the small moments that leave the deepest imprint. Moments like playing a game with a sibling, sharing a snack with a parent, or watching a movie together on a phone. These simple experiences are woven into their memories and become anchors of love, belonging, and security.
Family Day wasn’t just an event – it was a celebration of togetherness, healing, and hope. It reminded us why we do this work and reaffirmed our commitment to nurturing strong, loving connections for every child in our care.
